Çevrilmeyi Bekleyen Uluslararası İlişkiler Kitapları (Yayınevlerine Açık Çağrı)

Türkiye’de Uluslararası İlişkiler eğitimi ile ilgili en temel sorunlardan birinin, henüz çevrilmemiş temel kitaplar nedeniyle yaşandığı konusunda genel bir uzlaşı olduğu söylenebilir. Bu liste daha önce yazılan bir yazıya katkı sunmak amaçlı hazırlanmıştır. İlgili çalışmalar, dil bariyerinin halen kuramları anlamada önemli bir sorun olduğunu söylemektedir.

Türkçe’de Uİ ile ilgili çeviriler büyük oranda son 10 yılda yapılmıştır. Bu, kabaca 2015 öncesi lisans eğitim alan Uİ öğrencilerinin temel çalışmaları veya derleme kitapları okuyamadan mezun olduğu anlamına gelmektedir. Bazı kitaplar yayımlandıktan uzun süre sonra Türkçe’ye çevrilmiş  (Kenneth Waltz, Robert Cox, Alexander Wendt, Andrew Linklater, Barry Buzan, Benno Teschke), bazıları ise kısa bir süre sonra (Cynthia Enloe, Paul Kennedy, John Hobson, John A.Vasquez, AlexanderAnievas). En çok satan derleme kitapları da yine geç tarihlerde, yani 20 yıl arayla Türkçe’ye kazandırılmıştır. (Steve Smith vd., John Baylis vd.,. Scot Burchill vd., Steve Smith vd., Peter Katzenstein vd., Stephen Hobdon vd. vs.)

Bu diğer alanlarda yayımlanmış çalışmaların Uİ disiplinini etkilemediği ve Yüksek Lisans/ Doktora Düzeyinde okunmadığı anlamına gelmemektedir. Tabii ki Uİ öğrencileri tarihsel sosyoloji/tarihsel materyalizm alanında yayımlanmış çalışmalardan çok fazla istifade etmektedir ve hatta denilebilir ki Uİ disiplini büyük ölçüde bu alana evrilmektedir (örneğin Charles Tilly, Theda Skocpol, Michael Mann, Perry Anderson, Immanuel Wallerstein, Giovanni Arrighi, Bob Jessop, Anthony Giddens, David Harvey, Ellen M. Wood, Samir Amin, Leo Panitch vs).

Ancak pedagojik anlamda bir disiplinden bahsedilecekse ve Anglo-Sakson dünyadaki lisans düzeyinde bir nitelik hedeflenmekteyse, o alanda yapılan tartışmaların lisans/yüksek lisans öğrencilerine daha fazla erişilebilir olması gerekmektedir. Doktora düzeyinde eğitimine devam eden bir çok Uİ öğrencisi bile halen temel tartışmaları okumadığı söylenebilir.

Bu nedenle Uİ disiplininde en çok atıf alan derleme kitapları yayınevleri ve Uİ öğrencileri için listeledim (İlk 150 kitap).
